148 Another acrylic 2 of 3

Here's the second part of the three part series about painting with acrylics. Those familiar with my methods will not be surprised that I painted into a lot of wet paint.

Notice in this final shot that I changed the sky and the distant hills yet again to give more diversity to the composition.

The video below was exported as HD. Let me know if this is a good thing or a nuisance. It took longer to upload and had a format that really wasn't that conducive to easel painting so I may not do HD in the future unless I get positive feedback.

I hope you enjoy the video and as always let me know if you have questions.

  1. Great video as always. I really liked the HD because it shows the different paint textures more clearly. One question: What varnish or medium did you use to seal your canvas?

    1. Thanks for the feedback Stephen. That is true about the texture. I was using an acrylic matt medium from Golden Artist Colors but probably any brand is somewhat similar in an acrylic medium.

    1. Thanks Robert! I will continue with the HD. Takes a bit longer to upload but it seems like it will be worth it. Good to hear from you!
