I'M STARTING A NEW PROJECT for painters interested in design and the art of abstract painting. I will be exploring the art of composition and how the eye moves through two dimensional space. If you are interested in these subjects join me here: Painting Abstractly

This and your last posts are perfect examples of why I look forward to your writings. They are always informative, and that last one was also extremely thought provoking. I would be considered an amateur, who is learning late in life. And I appreciate your sound approach.
ReplyDeleteI find it fascinating that I looked at this painting today, an abstract, and immediately saw the color palette that took me right back to the last painting posted on Dec 31st, and I could see they were painted by the same artist!
I look forward to learning about composition from you.
This will be cool. I have tossed around the idea of painting some abstracts over the years and never done it.maybe this will inspire me to finally do some.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Rettakat. I appreciate your positive feedback. YOur kind words keep me going. Greg, you definitely should do some abstracts. Be sure to let me know how it goes.
ReplyDeleteWow! I love it Brad. I am primarily an abstract artist that has followed you Thick Paint blog for a while and have greatly appreciated your videos and the insight on color and application that you have shared. I am super excited for you as you launch on this new adventure! Best regards!

I’ve been reading a lot about abstract painting.greatly appreciated your videos.
ReplyDeleteGlad I could help. What books have you been reading? I'd love to know what title have been of interest to you as I haven't been able to find as many useful books about abstract painting as I would like.
DeleteHave you considered adding some relevant links to your article? I think it might enhance viewers’ understanding.

I'm thinking of not doing the abstract blog anymore but just adding my abstract work to Thick Paint. I think people can handle the jumble! :)
