I'm not opposed to that but feel that technique shouldn't be a barrier to expression.

I appreciate your comments!Brad Tearehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04311014022243382658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200138797648475238.post-78565797952156617882012-06-14T15:11:41.453-06:002012-06-14T15:11:41.453-06:00Brad,

I am relatively new, self taught, oil painter and I've tried to a wide variety of painting styles with varying success. The thick painting style is something that I've always love and am drawn to, I've tried to emulate on occasion, but found it very difficult to get consistent results. So I very much look forward to exploring your site and sharing any discoveries. Thank you for generously sharing your knowledge and experience.Lenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11005721902475363090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200138797648475238.post-87973055657861294222010-06-23T14:38:47.159-06:002010-06-23T14:38:47.159-06:00I invented this technique of using two hands, one ...I invented this technique of using two hands, one for the palette knife and one for the brush, and then swiping the paint off to get a stroke with radically broken color.

I'm glad you are enjoying the site. And since I have been painting too thinly and want to stop doing that, your site will be a huge help.

Lindaover60https://www.blogger.com/profile/11085448738027928931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5200138797648475238.post-89556358436611851012009-12-03T15:22:58.009-07:002009-12-03T15:22:58.009-07:00Thanks for your comments Daniel. Ive only been painting for 14 months and I learned Digitally, but Ive been getting some success with painting in oils now, and my love for it is growing.
It was an interesting comment to me and I respect it due to hearing allot of constant discussion online about traditional VS digital these days.
All the best and looking forward to seeing more.

Daniel Andrews
http://danielandrews.caDaniel Andrewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15545032173440428924noreply@blogger.com
