  1. Hey Brad
I just wanted to say that I loved that comment about how the more popular the digital method gets the more fascinated people may become to the hand made types of art. Ive only been painting for 14 months and I learned Digitally, but Ive been getting some success with painting in oils now, and my love for it is growing.
It was an interesting comment to me and I respect it due to hearing allot of constant discussion online about traditional VS digital these days.
All the best and looking forward to seeing more.

  3. Brad,
I appreciate your site very much. Thank you. I have never seen a demonstration of this technique. And since I have been painting too thinly and want to stop doing that, your site will be a huge help.

  4. I invented this technique of using two hands, one for the palette knife and one for the brush, and then swiping the paint off to get a stroke with radically broken color.

I'm glad you are enjoying the site. I hope you will share your experiences with this technique.

  5. Brad,
An artist friend shared your site with me and I am delighted he did. What I've seen so far has been very inspiring and encouraging. I am relatively new, self taught, oil painter and I've tried to a wide variety of painting styles with varying success. The thick painting style is something that I've always love and am drawn to, I've tried to emulate on occasion, but found it very difficult to get consistent results. So I very much look forward to exploring your site and sharing any discoveries. Thank you for generously sharing your knowledge and experience.

  6. Thanks Len. I do hope you find what you're looking for. Using thick paint is tricky and I know of several artists who simply paint thinner because it is easier. I'm not opposed to that but feel that technique shouldn't be a barrier to expression.

    I appreciate your comments!
